DO YOU KNOW FOR S.U.R.E.?

       Have you ever experienced the life - changing power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you have the inner peace of knowing that if you died today, you would go to heaven?  Do you know for S.U.R.E?

       Life holds many twists, turns and uncertainties, yet one fact remains consistent and has since the beginning of time: true inner peace only begins with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

       Jesus is the only way to a relationship with God that will give you both inner peace and eternal life.  Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me."

      How can you know for S.U.R.E. that you have eternal life?  It's real simple!

      S - See that you are a sinner in God's eyes and that you are separated from Him.

           Romans 3:23 tells us that "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

      U - Understand that Christ died for your sins and as God, came back from the dead.

           1 Corinthians 15:2-4 states, "By which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."

      R - Receive God's forgiveness for your sins by placing your faith and trust in Jesus as your Savior.

           Romans 3:22 tells us that, "Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction."

      E - Express to God your desire for Christ to be Lord of your life.

           Romans 10:9-10 states, "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart taht God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person beleives, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

       If you are willing to receive God's free gift of salvation, you can receive Him by praying this simple prayer: "Dear God, I am a sinner.  I want to be forgiven. I believe that Jesus Christ, your only Son, died for my sins and is alive today.  I turn from my sin and I confess Him now as my Lord.  I receive Him into my life.  I ask You to control my life and I thank you for giving me eternal life."

       Committing your life to Jesus and deciding to follow Him are the greatest steps that you can ever take in life.  You have decided to follow Him and allow Him to be your personal Lord and Savior.  To know Jesus and follow Him is to have eternal and abundant life.

       Your decision is just the beginning.  You are to show the world how God has changed your life.  Make that personal profession with your local church.  Follow Jesus in believer's baptism.  Begin today making a difference in the world around you.
